An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.
The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.
Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
