The Streaming Giant Casts Spot-On Star for Bentham in One Piece Upcoming Installment
The Secret Organization is geared up to play a huge role in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, though the true confrontation won’t take place until season 3, and a cherished, popular member has recently been selected.
The streaming service revealed this week that the talented performer is now part of the One Piece cast for the third season and will play Mr. 2. Bon Clay can use their power to change into an exact copy of anyone they’ve made contact with with their dominant hand. Escola, who is identifies as non-binary and goes by they/them, will play a rendition of that character reinterpreted as non-binary identifying, as opposed to as a drag queen, in the real-life adaptation, as in the initial comic and animated series.
Escola is joined by several other new cast members set to bring the organization to life, featuring chief Sir Crocodile, brought to life by the well-known actor, a talented actress as a key member, and an accomplished actor, who also joins the cast as the ruler of the fictional land.
Though Bon Clay is a major member of Baroque Works, the character will be introduced in One Piece the third season. Given the next season likely to portray the Little Garden storyline, this signals a significant shift in the schedule of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could signal additional alterations to the story’s structure.
Escola’s blend of precise humor and emotional depth makes them a standout choice for the character. In addition to their recent voice performance in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and several accolades for penning and acting in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, highlighting the range they’ll add to one of One Piece’s widely praised roles.
The platform’s adapted One Piece show is scheduled to come back for its second season on the tenth of March, 2026.
