Former Physician Charged with Sexual Assault Charges Involving 38 Patients
Legal authorities have stated that a former physician stands accused of carrying out assaults involving thirty-eight individuals who were under his care.
Details of the Serious Charges
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with dozens of sexual offences – including some against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
One senior prosecutor commented, “Legal teams have worked at length to assist a detailed and complex police inquiry, carefully reviewing the available evidence to establish that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
The Police Inquiry
The charges follow what police called a “complex investigation” into reported sexual offences at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and Russells Hall hospital.
The defendant will appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.

- 15 counts of assault.
- Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
